FRIDAY

Some may say there's nothing great about Friday, but I'll tell them a couple of good things about that day;
1. It marks the end of MY work week
2. I feel good that I made it through the entire week
3.Whether or not I've anything planned, I'm still grateful for what I have accomplished throughout the week
4. Oh boy, if I do have something planned, it makes Friday the best day ever...well except Sunday and that's only because I can get my PRAISE on in church and fellowship with others
Gotta love Friday!
Until next time...

Grateful for Good Men

I have  spent most of my life dealing with under-developed men...under-developed spiritually and mentally, not understanding how to be good fathers or good husbands. When I see a man struggling to get the car seat in or out of the car, or getting the stroller out the door to put his child in, it gives me goose bumps. So LADIES IF YOU ARE IN POSSESSION OF ONE OF THESE RARE COMMODITIES, CONSIDER YOURSELVES BLESSED!

FRIDAY

It's Friday...need I say more?
Until next time...

FRIDAY

Yeah! You guessed it, it is indeed Friday, my favorite day of the week when it reaches 4:30pm. Now to plan my awesome weekend with fun-filled ideas and things to do.
First, it's a must to get the place of residency cleaned and smelling good for the week to come...fresh linens, fresh air, spotless bathrooms and kitchen. Then off to an adventure---"maybe a ride" as a good friend once said, to discover my city, if it's not raining. I may even take in a movie. Boy, I'm so excited I don't know where to go...more thought needed.
Until later...

FRIDAY

This post is for all the Friday Lovers in the world, of which I am it's biggest fan. It comes around once a week...wish it were twice, and it starts that weekend thing going. You could start early planning what to do with all that free time or wait until the last minute and use up half of it trying to make plans---your choice.

I prefer to plan early and dream about what I'd like to be doing if MONEY were not an issue, but actually do something less expensive that brings me about as much happiness. Allow yourself to have some fun...smile a lot...laugh a little and make everything you do joyous...yeah, even cleaning the toilet.

I'm planning some cleaning at home this weekend and for me it will be fun because I'm looking forward to clean smells , fresh linen, and a trip the following weekend. What could be better than that?

Until next time...

A New Day

It's already Feb 14, 2012 and this is my very first post this year. Last year was a long lasting storm that refused to let up until the dawning of the new year which was long awaited. I'll be back on Friday...
By the way, it's Valentine's Day and I need a sweetie.

Don't Shoot Me

I missed last Friday posting, so don't shoot me!!! I'm doing better. As a matter of fact the reason for this post is that I just read a very disturbing article about an obviously deranged man shooting several people at a Colorado theater premiere of  "Batman, the Dark Knight Rises". Certainly he must have thought he was the Dark Knight because he used some type of gas first and began randomly shooting the theater-goers, killing 12 and injuring at least 50. Now tell me, is it the movie, the theme, or just the enemy trying to place fear in our hearts?
I will be going to the movies at some point, so again "don't shoot me". Did I make my point?
I never want to become a recluse at the hands of the devil for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Until next time...

Friday, July 6, 2012

Hey, it's Friday once again. I'm sooo excited, stoked as I see it---it's a half day for me today and I really have no big plans except to maybe take a short -much-needed nap before my daughter gets home, grill some steaks  and chill. Just the thought gives me goose-bumps.
Again, I salute you FRIDAY...you're the best!

Until later...

Too Much

When I say "too much", I truly mean "too much". This has been a trying year for me and I am gaining strength somehow to get up each day and make the very best of life regardless of the circumstances. It's been a little less than a year since my beloved mom left this world to enter her eternal home.  My sister in love passed away after a battle with liver cancer on Wednesday June 13 quite unexpectedly...no one knew the extent of her health issues. After many tests, and no results to help her recover, it progressively got worse and ultimately led to her demise. All this, after losing my dear friend Vicky only 3 weeks prior. Just when I thought it was "healing hearts" time, one of my best friends calls to inform me that his spouse had just passed. Needless to say, this has been more death than I need to hear about...looking for a new season and praying against cancer and all these illnesses that are running rampant, killing those who have so much more life to give, leaving way before their time.
NO MORE GRIEF! CELEBRATE LIFE! LIVE LONG! BE HEALED IN JESUS NAME!
It's time to wake up people, take authority over the enemy and get our health in order. Let's start by changing what we eat and move that body---get some exercise, laugh, love, share and when you're there, be ALL there.

Until later...

Lord, my life is in your hands

There are days and there are DAYS...today I'm having a day. Can anyone relate? It's Thursday and only one more work day left this week so let me adjust my thinking once more and get it together, prioritize, organize, and recognize who holds the key and unlocks the door to my future.
I love being alive and well! My family is blessed and in perfect health. We are financially secure...blessings overtake me because I'm a "Favor Magnet", are you?

Until next time...

WOW! Where do I even start? Since my last post so much has transpired---some good, some painful.
At this particular time, the only focus I have is my friend,Vicky who passed Tuesday after quite a long battle with liver cancer which is an awful disease no human should have to suffer with. Watching her decline from Christmas 2011 until my last visit with her last Saturday was horrific...never have I experienced death of a friend in this manner. I saw her go from Hospital to Hospice.

Just last year this time, my mom was in a battle for her life, chained (not literally)to a bed at Munroe Hospital, suffering a little more every day at the hands of the competent and the incompetent . There's always good with the bad and sometimes the good can't fix what the bad messed up....at least in this life on this earth, because God ultimately has the last say for the place we end up on Graduation Day. This too shall pass...

Anyway, sleep on my dear friend Vicky, R.I.P. You were greatly loved and appreciated and I know you felt that love during your illness.

Forgotten Friday

Guess I didn't get around to posting on last Friday---for that I sincerely apologize, just never got around to it. Busy is a good word..."too busy" are two words that should not be used together, agreed?
Life is good!
Last week I had some mental challenges that I had to overcome to get to the next level and enable me to function better this week. Boy am I happy to be born into the family of  Jesus Christ. Enough said!
Until next time...

Hump Day

Well, once again we've been blessed enough to get to mid-week and doing fine...can't ask for better than that. God is good!
So many troubling events are crowding our minds and our hearts lately----the Trayvon Martin killing and the missing Black men both arrested by this very disturbed white cop in Naples. I ask you, "What price is a Black man's life worth?" Not much, it seems. Do people not see killing a person you pursued as murder? Hunting an animal down and killing it would not be viewed as self defense, but it would be OK just as Trayvon being gunned down is OK. I assume Trayvon is categorized as being an animal because I don't see any difference in the way the situation is being treated.
We must draw closer to God as we see the time approaching. It is winding up and we must prepare in these "last days".
Get Ready, dress yourselves, put your armor on

Good Friday

I know I neglected to post on Good Friday, but it was good so I had things on my mind, getting ready for a huge weekend at church. However, on Friday we had a Good Friday telecast to watch from our church website which was heart warming, informative and spirit filling...made being off on Friday even better...not just a day off from work.
Easter is not just a day filled with eggs, candy, and bunnies, but Resurrection Sunday---the day Jesus rose from the dead for us to have life, how great is that? Sends shivers to me bones!!!
I enjoyed being off so much on Friday, I'm thinking of doing again soon...maybe every Friday...ummmm, just a thought. Can someone help a sister pay some bills?

Until next time...

Hump Day

What will it take for you to make this week a success?
Well, it's Wednesday and you're already half way through, the rest is the best, right at you fingertips. Remember the weekend awaits you. What fantastic things have you planned? It makes the week go faster when you have something to look forward to.
My pastor says to have fun things planned ahead always, so being the honorable, obedient, steward that I am, I am making plans for some fun and relaxation.
I feel a meal, something super appetizing, tasteful, and tantalizing to my tongue. A great dining experience with my family for Easter would be quite fulfilling as well as filling...feel me?
It's not too late for you to start your weekend planning, so hop to it (Easter bunny humor).
Until Friday then...

Hump Day

Let's do this!
Hope everyone's well and ready to make the rest of the week "fantabulous". I'm certainly ready...ready to get to my favorite past time "the weekend". Ahhh! what a lovely thought, but what shall I do this time? Last weekend was a blast at Stella's Modern Pantry, hanging out with two beautiful people who are in fact related to me. Good food...good friends...good connections.
This time I feel like going to the beach, stay a few days, kick back and relax. Who am I fooling...forgot my winning lottery ticket. Show me the Money!
Until then or later, see you Friday!

FRIDAY @ LAST

Worked tirelessly to make this week go smoothly and it did, so looking forward to a pleasant and slightly adventurous weekend. I'm pumping myself up because, I actually have a friend in Hospice fighting for life with all that 's in her and I will be visiting with her and it's always hard to see someone you love suffer, but she's a real warrior and we believe she'll pull through no matter what the odds are. Jesus is still "the healer".Can't wait until she's up and running showing off God's goodness with her testimony.
Anyhoo, life is good and I love life so it will be easy...

Hump Day

Wednesday, yet again...just to get over the hump...smooth sailing after that and then the weekend, the thing we live for or shall I say "wait for". It's the means to energizing and getting ready for Monday morning. What a cycle!!! I think I need a vacation, it's the one thing that breaks the monotony and keeps you from living a rather boring life. As my pastor says, "you must have fun things planned and something to look forward to". Friday I hope to let you in on what I have planned for my 'fun weekend".
BYE BYE for now
