It's already Feb 14, 2012 and this is my very first post this year. Last year was a long lasting storm that refused to let up until the dawning of the new year which was long awaited. I'll be back on Friday...
By the way, it's Valentine's Day and I need a sweetie.

Don't Shoot Me
I missed last Friday posting, so don't shoot me!!! I'm doing better. As a matter of fact the reason for this post is that I just read a very disturbing article about an obviously deranged man shooting several people at a Colorado theater premiere of "Batman, the Dark Knight Rises". Certainly he must have thought he was the Dark Knight because he used some type of gas first and began randomly shooting the theater-goers, killing 12 and injuring at least 50. Now tell me, is it the movie, the theme, or just the enemy trying to place fear in our hearts?
I will be going to the movies at some point, so again "don't shoot me". Did I make my point?
I never want to become a recluse at the hands of the devil for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Until next time...

Hey, it's Friday once again. I'm sooo excited, stoked as I see it---it's a half day for me today and I really have no big plans except to maybe take a short -much-needed nap before my daughter gets home, grill some steaks and chill. Just the thought gives me goose-bumps.
Again, I salute you FRIDAY...you're the best!
Until later...

Too Much
When I say "too much", I truly mean "too much". This has been a trying year for me and I am gaining strength somehow to get up each day and make the very best of life regardless of the circumstances. It's been a little less than a year since my beloved mom left this world to enter her eternal home. My sister in love passed away after a battle with liver cancer on Wednesday June 13 quite unexpectedly...no one knew the extent of her health issues. After many tests, and no results to help her recover, it progressively got worse and ultimately led to her demise. All this, after losing my dear friend Vicky only 3 weeks prior. Just when I thought it was "healing hearts" time, one of my best friends calls to inform me that his spouse had just passed. Needless to say, this has been more death than I need to hear about...looking for a new season and praying against cancer and all these illnesses that are running rampant, killing those who have so much more life to give, leaving way before their time.
NO MORE GRIEF! CELEBRATE LIFE! LIVE LONG! BE HEALED IN JESUS NAME!
It's time to wake up people, take authority over the enemy and get our health in order. Let's start by changing what we eat and move that body---get some exercise, laugh, love, share and when you're there, be ALL there.

Lord, my life is in your hands
There are days and there are DAYS...today I'm having a day. Can anyone relate? It's Thursday and only one more work day left this week so let me adjust my thinking once more and get it together, prioritize, organize, and recognize who holds the key and unlocks the door to my future.
I love being alive and well! My family is blessed and in perfect health. We are financially secure...blessings overtake me because I'm a "Favor Magnet", are you?

WOW! Where do I even start? Since my last post so much has transpired---some good, some painful.
At this particular time, the only focus I have is my friend,Vicky who passed Tuesday after quite a long battle with liver cancer which is an awful disease no human should have to suffer with. Watching her decline from Christmas 2011 until my last visit with her last Saturday was horrific...never have I experienced death of a friend in this manner. I saw her go from Hospital to Hospice.
Just last year this time, my mom was in a battle for her life, chained (not literally)to a bed at Munroe Hospital, suffering a little more every day at the hands of the competent and the incompetent . There's always good with the bad and sometimes the good can't fix what the bad messed up....at least in this life on this earth, because God ultimately has the last say for the place we end up on Graduation Day. This too shall pass...
Anyway, sleep on my dear friend Vicky, R.I.P. You were greatly loved and appreciated and I know you felt that love during your illness.
