What will it take for you to make this week a success?
Well, it's Wednesday and you're already half way through, the rest is the best, right at you fingertips. Remember the weekend awaits you. What fantastic things have you planned? It makes the week go faster when you have something to look forward to.
My pastor says to have fun things planned ahead always, so being the honorable, obedient, steward that I am, I am making plans for some fun and relaxation.
I feel a meal, something super appetizing, tasteful, and tantalizing to my tongue. A great dining experience with my family for Easter would be quite fulfilling as well as filling...feel me?
It's not too late for you to start your weekend planning, so hop to it (Easter bunny humor).
Until Friday then...

Hump Day
Let's do this!
Hope everyone's well and ready to make the rest of the week "fantabulous". I'm certainly ready...ready to get to my favorite past time "the weekend". Ahhh! what a lovely thought, but what shall I do this time? Last weekend was a blast at Stella's Modern Pantry, hanging out with two beautiful people who are in fact related to me. Good food...good friends...good connections.
This time I feel like going to the beach, stay a few days, kick back and relax. Who am I fooling...forgot my winning lottery ticket. Show me the Money!
Until then or later, see you Friday!

FRIDAY @ LAST
Worked tirelessly to make this week go smoothly and it did, so looking forward to a pleasant and slightly adventurous weekend. I'm pumping myself up because, I actually have a friend in Hospice fighting for life with all that 's in her and I will be visiting with her and it's always hard to see someone you love suffer, but she's a real warrior and we believe she'll pull through no matter what the odds are. Jesus is still "the healer".Can't wait until she's up and running showing off God's goodness with her testimony.
Anyhoo, life is good and I love life so it will be easy...

Hump Day
Wednesday, yet again...just to get over the hump...smooth sailing after that and then the weekend, the thing we live for or shall I say "wait for". It's the means to energizing and getting ready for Monday morning. What a cycle!!! I think I need a vacation, it's the one thing that breaks the monotony and keeps you from living a rather boring life. As my pastor says, "you must have fun things planned and something to look forward to". Friday I hope to let you in on what I have planned for my 'fun weekend".

Wednesday with me!
I just thought I'd check in since it's obviously been quite some time since my last blog, which proves that life goes on with or without us.
A certain amount of sadness comes over me whenever I start to write, thoughts of mom and living life without her phone calls to me or mine to her leave a void in my heart which indicates to me I MUST keep writing if I'm to survive this ordeal and get better. The more I vent the stronger I become. "Hats off to writing your way through the pain"(another Lindaism)
Fall finally fell on Ocala and it feels good. The wind is blowing, Fall decorations are all.about us,smells are changing from sweaty to sweety...I so love this time of year. For a while I thought the seasons had dementia, instead they were just being held up by the incredibly hot temperature we were forced to endure. All is well and God remains on the throne so until next time...

Mom
Since my last post, my mom slipped away but not without a battle. She fought so hard and I continued to believe she would wake up and laugh at the devil and tell him, "not yet buddy", but she got tired and weak and her body let her down. It wouldn't hold up its end of the bargain, and I know she wanted to stay a while longer with us. This fragile, aging tent we live in lasts but so long and under dire circumstances, it just falls apart. Her tent dwelling came apart piece by piece as we stood watch, praying and loving on her.
The moans and groans of pain of which we have no concept were uttered from her ailing body wanting to be left alone. Of course a patient has to be kept clean and dry as much as possible, it made the pain no less excrutiating for mom. Everytime she was touched or moved became a nightmare. I wanted to alleviate this torture but had no way to do it, so I helplessly watched and prayed for relief and healing for her.
Yes, there's consolation knowing that she's in Heaven, but my selfishness wants her here to fill this aching void.

FRIDAYS
Wow! I have had some very long and tiring Fridays the last few weeks. My mom has been in the hospital for 3 weeks now and got worse as the days went by due to negligence on the part of "the hospital". I tell you everyone who has license to practice medicine is not on the same level...too many non caring people on staff at these facilities and we're at their mercies...not good. Knowing Jesus...good thing because ultimately it's all you got.
Grab hold to your faith and don't let go.
